This is a compilation album with the best music from bernd Kistenmacher specially selected for DA Music.
Born 1960 in Berlin, the musician Bernd Kistenmacher is already well known to the international electronic music scene.
In more than 20 years he released 23 solo albums and proved the „live potential“ of electronic music with numerous concerts in Germany and abroad.
In 1991 Bernd Kistenmacher convinced through his solo album „Outlines“ with classical electronic music which he specifi cally
wrote for a play. „A Hand Softly Touching You“ has exclusively been re-released for „Patterns Of Light“.
To his fans in the Paris nightclub „La Boule Noire“ Bernd Kistenmacher presented a „cosmical“ foretaste of his album „Celestial Movements“ in October 2009 which he addicted to the Horizontal Observatory at the Halde Hoheward, Germany.
Inspired by the novel „Der Schwarm“ by the author Frank Schätzing,
in 2010 Bernd Kistenmacher abducted his fans in the sold out Planetarium Bochum
into the depths of the sea with his album „Beyond The Deep“.
With the album „Antimatter“– a journey to the origins of our existence – Bernd Kistenmacher
impressively finished his „Trilogy of the Universe“ in 2010.
This album clearly shows the musical path he will tread and why his music
will henceforth be described as “symphonic electronic music”.
The title „On The Shoulders Of ATLAS“ documents this development imposingly.
Referring to the novel “Memorial do Convento” by José Saramago
Bernd Kistenmacher wrote the dramatic opus “The Memorial”.
With the piece „Autumn Leaves“, a dreamy anthem to autumn, which he specifically composed for this release,
this „Best Of“ album finally ends.
The one who expected electronic music to be worn-out sound patterns
from ancient EM-times will certainly be pleasantly surprised. Bernd Kistenmacher describes his music as „symphonic electronic music“. He is getting inspired by the unexpected and surprises his audience with new bridgings between diverse soundscapes.
His music has many attributes: once meditative, once classical, once entertaining or bombastic, but sometimes silent and melancholic. For sure it is one thing in all cases : it is a perfect dream.

Yup, the 70's era Tangerine Dream style may draw you in but, they're not a rip off; they have their own voice, and a mesmeric one it is. Worth getting entire back catalogue? Probably ... yeah! vykr
