Bernd Kistenmacher Classic Collection

When Bernd Kistenmacher started to establish his own record label, he began with releases of his own works. Under the name "Cosmic Sound Production" he released his first productions "Romantic Times" and "Music From Outer Space" on MCs (music cassettes). Then he changed the audio format and released his "first official " solo album "Head-visions" on Vinyl. Other vinyl releases were "Wake Up In The Sun" and the compilation album "Musique Intemporel". The last one was the initial release to feature other artists on his label. The name of his label had been changed to "Musique Intemporelle" in the meantime.

But not only the name of his label had been changed; the same happened with the technical progress as well. The Compact Disc had entered the stage and the good old vinyl times were past at this time (approx. 1987/1988).

So in following Bernd Kistenmacher released all of his productions on CD-Audio. This happened with his first solo-album "Head-Visions" too. During the remastering process in 1992, he added some additional effects and string sounds. Additions, which had been completey removed for the new remastered version in 2012 (also available here), because Kistenmacher wanted to return to the original as close as possible.

Audio CDs have a larger capacity than vinyls. By this reason the additional bonustrack "Dreamdance" was added for this first CD-release of "Head-Visions". Also this track had been removed on the 2012 remaster version because it was recorded 4 years later and did not really fit to Kistenmacher's "Head-Visions" period from 1986. Anyway we offer it here because it is a nice piece of music.

We present the Bernd Kistenmacher Classic Collection in its original versions. No audio manipulations or remixes has been done. A must have for purists and collectors.

All music composed, arranged and performed by Bernd Kistenmacher in 1986. Dreamdance was recorded in 1990 during a life performance of Bernd Kistenmacher. This version of "Head-Visions" was released on CD in 1992. Frontcover photo was shot by Karl-Ludwig Lange , Berlin. Sculpture was created by Wolfgang Batzdorfer, Berlin. Portrait was shot by Sabine Weber, Berlin.
